EverRecall can import .apkg files directly. Use this converter when you want to check the contents as text or use them in other tools.
How to Use
Export your deck from Anki (.apkg).
Choose that file with the button above. It converts instantly.
In EverRecall, open the Import screen, choose to import from a file, and select the saved text file. Anki’s text import can read it, too.
How Conversion Works
The front and back of each card become text, exactly as they appeared in Anki.
Formatting, images, and audio are removed. Only the text is kept.
Cloze (fill-in-the-blank) cards: the hidden part becomes a blank on the front, and the back shows the full answer.
Tags and deck names are kept as tags.
The front and back match what you get when you import the .apkg directly into EverRecall.
How Your File Stays on Your Device
The conversion runs entirely in this page’s JavaScript. There’s no server that receives your file.
This page tells your browser not to make any network connections, using a Content Security Policy setting (connect-src 'none'). Even if a script tried to send data, your browser would block it.
Conversion still works even if you turn on Airplane Mode after opening the page.
